Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on August 5 for the third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was the host and the moderator. But her real passion was when she added writer to her roles and earned an Emmy for her work. She also won an Emmy for her role as host of an exceptional entertainment talk show. Between 2002 and the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Her previous roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After 9/11 She was taken to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for an intense and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with the former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News program. He also interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Before joining The Early Show he was the CBS own station journalist in New York City, WCBS. Her previous jobs include working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as finishing her last year of university in The University of Southern California. She started her career working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night program Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of Moonves' journalism idols. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots, worked with Koppel.
